NFL Draft Position (Rank): Defensive Tackle (6)

Draft Result Drafted in the 2010 Draft by the Baltimore Ravens in the 2nd round with the #25 pick.
A wide bodied run stuffer who commands double teams. Moves well for his size but needs to control his weight or could eat himself out of a job.

Strengths
  • Proto-type nose tackle -  a force in the middle of the line
  • A force against the run - strong and powerful
  • Commands double teams on every play just on size alone.
  • Outstanding bull rusher in the middle. Won't get many sacks but he will collapse the pocket
  • Underrated athleticism
  • Good feet and agility for his size
  • Blocked two field goals to key the victory over Tennessee in 2009
  • Played fullback in short yardage situations and made blocks instead of just getting in the way.

Weaknesses
  • Could he eat himself out of the NFL?
  • Bad body - weighed in at a sloppy 370 lbs at the senior bowl leading to work ethic concerns.  Needs to be under 350 to reach his potential
  • Overall pass rush moves lacking. Bull rushing will not work as consistently in the pros as it does in college
  • Lacks range and has limited lateral mobility
  • Inconsistent motor
  • Stamina. Needs to be in a constant rotation to stay fresh for four quarters
  • Strictly a two down guy
  • High risk/high reward
