NFL Draft Position (Rank): Offensive Tackle (6)

Draft Result Drafted in the 2010 Draft by the Oakland Raiders in the 4th round with the #8 pick.
High potential athletic left tackle prospect. A project who won't be ready to play right away.

Strengths
  • Ideal frame to play left tackle. Uses long arms to push defenders out of play
  • Moves feet well in pass protection
  • Excellent recovery skills when initially beaten on pass plays
  • A former Prep All-American who was considered a more seasoned defensive end than offensive tackle when recruited. Most high school offensive tackle prospects are not quick enough to play end
  • Executes combo blocks well on running plays
  • Natural athlete. Play three years of varsity basketball in high school. Lateral movement is natural and not forced
  • High potential

Weaknesses
  • Would have benefited from another season. There are a lot of offensive linemen in this class with less starting experience, but very few are looking at an eight figure signing bonus. Ideally Campbell would learn playing next to an experienced left guard or opposite a veteran right tackle
  • Must become more dominant as a run blocker
  • Inconsistent performer
  • Will be drafted more on his potential than his performance
