Draft Result

Drafted in the 2010 Draft by the Arizona Cardinals in the 4th round with the #32 pick.
High upside rush linebacker prospect with great burst, acceleration and motor. Had 12 sacks and 24.5 TFL in 2009. Tore ACL at Senior Bowl which may limit his 2010 contribution.

Strengths

  • Explosive undersized defensive end
  • Plays with a good motor and is more than just a run stuffer
  • Excellent athlete - speed, strength, agility
  • Began transition to LB at Shrine game, looked comfortable as he was named Defensive MVP
  • Looked comfortable dropping into coverage but is a work in progress
  • Dynamic pass rusher with the potential to be a quality rush linebacker if his knee heals properly
  • Quick off the snap

Weaknesses

  • Tore his ACL at the Senior Bowl which makes him a question mark for 2010 dropping his stock from day two to day three
  • Short arms
  • Lacks the size to play defensive end in most schemes
