Draft Result

Drafted in the 2010 Draft by the New Orleans Saints in the 7th round with the #32 pick.
Tall pocket passer came on strong his senior year. Lack of arm strength was evident at the Senior Bowl.

Strengths

  • Left-handed quarterback went from undrafted free agent to possible day two selection with a breakout 2009 campaign
  • Throws a nice catchable ball
  • Accurate passer
  • Has the size that many quarterbacks of this year's class lack
  • Played out of the shotgun quite a bit but the Beaver offense featured some pro style sets which should ease his transition to taking snaps from center

Weaknesses

  • Average arm strength
  • Forces passes under duress
  • Below average mobility
  • Needs to improve his footwork and consistently step into his throws
  • A one year wonder who struggled earlier in his career
