Draft Result

Drafted in the 2011 Draft by the San Francisco 49ers in the 1st round with the #7 pick.
A long, athletic, sudden pass rusher off the edge who gives the 49ers a great option to get after the quarterback in their 3-4. He's a big guy and very explosive with a great toolbox for the position. A natural pass rusher, Smith gives Harbaugh some teeth off the edge. The 49ers will likely be looking for a quarterback as well as secondary help later in the draft.
