Strengths

  • Athletic DE/DT tweener
  • Great measure-ables (size, speed, power)
  • Versatile - can play inside and outside, in a 4-3 or 3-4
  • Quick burst off the line - can shoot gaps
  • Strong - good bull rusher
  • Solid against the run - good in pursuit
  • 7 sacks and 11 TFL each of the past two seasons

Weaknesses

  • Not the dominant pass rushing DE you expect
  • A better pass rusher inside than outside
  • Average agility and change of direction
  • Looks like a defensive end but plays like an under tackle
  • Struggles to disengage from blockers
  • Needs to diversify his pass rush moves - overreliant on speed and bull rush
  • Tantalizes with potential but more often than not he fails to standout
