Draft Result

Drafted in the 2010 Draft by the Houston Texans in the 2nd round with the #26 pick.
A patient runner with nice blend of size and speed. An all-around back who is a good fit for the Texans zone blocking scheme.

Strengths

  • Good combination of size and speed
  • Downhill runner runs well between the tackles and can run over defenders
  • Has the burst to explode through holes
  • Excellent straight line speed. Might be the fastest back in the draft over 210 lbs
  • Known more for running inside than out but has the speed to get to the corner
  • Underrated pass blocker
  • Capable of carrying a heavy load - 8 games with 20 carries in 2009
     

Weaknesses

  • Not overly elusive in the open field
  • Does not change directions well
  • Markedly inconsistent.  Either rushed for more than 117 or less than 75 yards in all but one game in 2009 
  • Average at best as a receiver
  • Ball security is a concern
