Draft Result

Drafted in the 2010 Draft by the Baltimore Ravens in the 5th round with the #26 pick.
Active run stuffer who is ideal scheme fit in Baltimore. Day two talent who fell due to injury and work ethic concerns.

Strengths

  • High motor football player. Constantly fought double teams due to lack of supporting cast
  • Has the ability to dominate at the point of attack (see Notre Dame 2008)
  • Stays low as a run defender. Hard to get inside control on Arthur Jones
  • Good agility - Makes plays from sideline to sideline
  • Fundamentally sound
  • Uses hands well to shed blocker
  • Stout run defender. Does not give up a lot of ground
  • Three year starter
  • Could impress in workouts if his knee is healthy enough to workout

Weaknesses

  • Must become more of a disruptive force on passing downs.  Just 5 sacks in college career
  • Relies to much on the bull rush
  • Durability - coming off of knee surgery that caused him to miss the final three games of the season
  • Lack of ideal size limits his position versatility.  Would fit best in the Tampa 2
  • Conditioning could be an issue
