2013 NFL Combine - Day 4 Impressions
After the workouts are complete, there are always players that have impressed and others that failed to live up to expectations. These are players who will get more tape time as they didn't quite match my expectations and may have to move up or down my board. Here are the players that impacted me today.
Winners
CB Dee Milliner (Alabama)
Milliner ran an outstanding 4.37 40 and showed fluid hips and excellent change of direction in drills and has likely moved into the top 5.
CB Xavier Rhodes (Mississippi St)
A 6-1, 210lb corner with 4.43 speed and a 40.5 vertical comes along rarely, and with his skills is now a lock for a first day pick.

CB Tyrann Mathieu (LSU)
Not playing in a year, many questions surrounded Mathieu. He answered many of them with a good 40 time (4.50) and nice drill work, showing excellent natural ability. However, his size (5' 8 3/4") and average vertical and broad jumps means he'll probably only be a nickel corner and return guy. Add his off field issues and he will still struggle to make it into the third round.

S Shamarko Thomas (Syracuse)
Thomas was a beast with a great workout and good movement in drills. This is a definite high effort guy that is working hard to overcome his concussion concerns.
Losers
CB Johnathan Banks (Mississippi St)
A slow 40 (4.61) has people questioning Banks as a first round pick and with strong showings from Rhodes and Desmond Trufant, he could drop a few spots down the board.

S Tony Jefferson (Oklahoma)
Jefferson didn't show the speed to play safety at the NFL level and will likely have to bulk up and play linebacker. But that takes time making him a developmental prospect.
